whew

We are hanging in there. Hopefully we will be on our feet soon. I have one thing to say about a strong marriage. I am thankful for it. I have seen hard times ruin a family and most specifically marriages and I am happy to report that Nathan and I are as in love as ever. We are surviving on little else. We appreciate all the love, support, and prayers that have come our direction.
Nathan is starting school in the fall and has a couple of ideas about how to make some money in the meantime. I am still working with foster children and will be having one of them in our home for about ten days this month. We are hoping that I can continue this work because it is so rewarding and I dont have to put the kids in daycare.(the fact that it is tax free money does not hurt either) I have been given more girls to work with every month and am so grateful for my job. I really dont know what we would have done without it.
Keep the prayers coming and we love you all.

Good for you Mandy..It is the tough times that often to break families apart but if you instead let it build you closer, then you find your are stronger and closer and happier than ever. This may sound silly but I sometimes want something bad to happen just so we can feel that magic of growing stronger.

That is such fantastic news. I am so glad that Nate is going back to school. And you would be so great at working with foster kids. I am just so glad things are looking up. I love you guys and want nothing but the best for you both.

Hey Mandy we've been thinking about you a lot lately. We hope everything's OK. I'm reading your blog and remembering all the feelings I had when I got laid off during the last recession. It was one of the hardest, most humbling times in my life and I don't wish it on anybody. If I know you and Nate at all, I know you'll pull through this and be better because of it. You're strong, smart people, and too stubborn to quit. :) You've got a ton of people pulling for you too... like us. You know you'll be in our prayers.
